Question & Answer

How do you regulate the tank temperature when burning wood in the Turbo Heating Unit?

With a little practice you can fairly closely determine the amount of wood required to raise the temperature of the Turbo Heating System appropriately. For example, if the main storage system is down to a 120 degrees and you have a TH2, 1200 gallon storage tank that you would like to raise to 180 degrees, a full load of medium to high btu content wood will raise the temperature up appropriately. It's not possible to overheat the water. If it goes up to the boiling temperature at sea level which is approximately 212 degrees the stove can boil all day long, the steam is simply vented up the chimney. This is a waste of energy but it doesn't hurt anything. To maximize the system you will not want to overload it so that your not wasting energy or firewood needlessly.
